Electric Tart Burner

Instructions

As with all devices that give off heat and melt wax, please exercise caution and use common sense while using Electric Tart Burners.

See All Electric Tart Burners

Electric tart burners are used for melting wax potpourri (also known as tarts, simmers, wax cakes, etc.). Also a clever way to use up small candles!

Use only a 25-watt bulb with a candelabra base. Use of a 40-watt bulb can make the base of the electric burner extremely hot, which may cause damage.

Do not handle Electric Tart Burner while it is hot. Even with a 25-watt bulb, the base will become very hot while in use.  Allow it to cool completely before moving it.

Do not move or remove the top portion of the Electric Tart Burner while the wax is warm or hot. Warm wax may be partially liquid, and may spill and cause burns or damage.

Do not leave Electric Tart Burners on while unattended.  If you are not attending to the Electric Tart Burner or are not using the Electric Tart Burner, turn it off and unplug it.

Do not add additional fragrance to the wax.

Safety tips: when the wax potpourri is no longer giving off scent, put on some gloves to protect hands and arms from heat, pour spent wax into a heat-proof container, like an empty soup can, allow to cool, and discard... Be careful, melted wax is very hot!

***Never pour wax into a sink or toilet!!!***

Replacement Bulbs

We sell replacement bulbs. However, if you want to purchase replacement bulbs elsewhere for your Electric Tart Burner purchased from Cloud Nine Candle and Bath Co., make sure you buy bulbs with the following characteristics:

  • 25 Watts. Do not use a higher wattage.
  • Candelabra Base (if it says Medium Base, Intermediate Base, or something else, you have the wrong bulb).
  • Globe-Shaped Lamp, no larger than 2" diameter and 3" length.
  • Bulb Shape is G-16 1/2.
  • Other shapes may work as long as they are 25 watts with a candelabra base. However, if the bulb is too large to allow the top of the electric tart burner to sit flat on its base, do not use because it is not safe.

The following brands should work. We have not tested them all, so we do not guarantee the success of these bulbs.

  • Phillips Duramax 168450 25G16-1/2C/CL/LL
  • GE 43158 - 25GC/L
  • GE 17722 25GC CD2
  • Sylvania G16.5 Model 13625
  • Permalite Long Life 25G16-1/2/C/3
